About Bootstock

Bootstock is a music festival which takes place annually in Morayshire.

The festival started in 2002 when one of the Bootstock Association members, who had experience of overseas charity work, decided to hold a garage party and raise some money to help youngsters in the most remote regions of Nepal.

The event was so successful that by 2005 the Bootstock Association was formally registered as a Scottish charity and the festival venue shifted to the larger East Grange Loft near Forres. Here it has grown steadily over the years to attract large and supportive audiences.

Bands from across the UK now gather for the annual Bootstock Festival, many donating their various talents entirely for free. Styles on offer include a mixture of quality live music from traditional, blues, ceilidh and rock. The Event has maintained a steady growth and again expects to attract crowds in excess of 500 this year.

In addition to the money raised from ticket sales and t-shirts, large interest has been shown in the raffle and auction of donated prizes by generous businesses and private supporters. Along with the music, there are also a range of activities to keep all ages entertained throughout the day.

The Bootstock Association committee is entirely voluntarily and so has no administration costs, therefore all the money raised by the event goes directly to good causes.
