The Bootstock Line up

We are delighted to announce that Nepal’s leading traditional musician, Raman Maharjan, will once again be joining us for both Bootstock festivals this year. Raman is a brilliant musician who has performed all over the world. He also runs the Music House project in Kathmandu, whom Bootstock have been supporting since 2016.

Drawing on influences as diverse as ceol mor, organic chemistry and crofting legislation Nelson’s Mandola have challenged orthodox notions of time signature, plagiarism and fame, perfecting a densely creative oeuvre bursting with pixellated stochasticity guaranteed to put you off dancing for life.

Fresh from appearances at Stonehaven and Belladrum, here is the band’s latest video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zwXzIChMUpg

Nelson’s Mandola

We are delighted to announce the appearance of our old friends from Orkney, punk rock giants Dirty Røtters.

It is also a true pleasure to welcome back Big Bob’s Blues Band who first appeared at Bootstock in 2008.

Vegas Hed Thug 2.0 A tribute, make their first ever Bootstock appearance, while The Amazing Bertie Bramble and his Rambling Bodhran Band are back, following an appearance at Bootstock 2024.

We are excited to announce that Freya Watt will perform on harp, and there may yet be another last minute addition to the line up.
